Here’s some extra bits on the self-recording thing. Newsshooter had a good article looking at Broadcast news working from home https://www.newsshooter.com/2020/04/14/editing-promos-and-live-remotes-from-home/ Which did point to a couple of useful gear bits: Belkin combo ‘Lightning’/USB C headphone / charging input; the Rode SmartLav+ (which Craig uses); and Dejero LivePlus app. I wonder if the Dejero app would work for us??
Looks like the Dejero system is a very pricey one because you need their servers too, but at least for us the confirmation that the Rode lavs work with the newer USB-only phones is useful. The idea for a combo power/headphone jack is also a good one too!
