Little Creatures origins story
Story about the formation of the Little Creatures brewery in Fremantle, produced by The Post Project in Melbourne. Nice pics, too much slider and handheld for my taste. Also I’d like to be introduced to the narrators faces as they share their part of the story, it’s a bit too “wallpapered” for me.
Much better is their story of the establishment of the Geelong brewery. I like the technique used for the “interview” with the old wool mill workers.

University of Sydney philanthropy thankyou
Interesting technique by the University of Sydney for a philanthropy thankyou video, not sure if the manipulation of the emotions is ok, certainly makes for emotional impact.

Learn from Experience
The University of South Australia’s old campaign “Learn from experience” is a really nicely shot, well thought out series of pieces. I love the attention to detail in organising the props, and adjusting the set for to suit the story each academic is sharing. I’d like to see a bit more of the talent delivering their lines though — although the performance (off-camera) is nice.

Taking cabbages for a walk
Jonah Kessel explores the benefits of upgrading his C100 to the Dual-pixel AF firmware, particularly in a news shooting or documentary environment. There’s some pretty amazing tracking shots at low-depth of field in this piece.
