Deakin Year 12 iso vox pops
Nice + current vox pops for social from Deakin.
It’s interesting to see the overlay they’ve been able get the students to film – maybe they’re all vloggers?

Screenwest Wellness Roadshow mental health resources
Yesterday I attended a creative industries seminar organised by Screenwest – The show must go on, about wellness and mental health.
The seminar hosted a Q&A panel after a screening of the documentary ‘The Show Must Go On’ by Ben Steel, a filmmaker and former Home & Away actor. The seminar was a cathartic and timely session into the impacts of COVID on the creative industry in WA, which comes on top of the pre-existing mental health challenges many already face.
Here’s some of the resources you might like to share with your teams.

Self-recording for COVID
Here’s some extra bits on the self-recording thing. Newsshooter had a good article looking at Broadcast news working from home https://www.newsshooter.com/2020/04/14/editing-promos-and-live-remotes-from-home/ Which did point to a couple of useful gear bits: Belkin combo ‘Lightning’/USB C headphone / charging input; the Rode SmartLav+ (which Craig uses); and Dejero LivePlus app. I wonder if the Dejero app would work for us??
Looks like the Dejero system is a very pricey one because you need their servers too, but at least for us the confirmation that the Rode lavs work with the newer USB-only phones is useful. The idea for a combo power/headphone jack is also a good one too!
