Accessing QuickTime “legacy” codecs
For those following, and who are using Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) and are wondering where the QuickTime System Preferences panel has gone (to turn on the legacy codecs option to get the MJPEG format as an option) enter the following command in a terminal window:
qtdefaults write LegacyCodecsEnabled yes
