Using bsdiff to create ‘patches’ to fix pres files
Ross Spencer tests the use of bsdiff to correct corrupted digital archive files, particularly in the case of storage repositories not allowing replacement of a damaged original. i.e. a corrected duplicate is stored alongside the original. bsdiff can be used to create a patch file, which when applied to the corrupted file, restores it to a byte-for-byte march with the original.
