YouTube has added the ability to publish metadata (e.g. title, description) in alternate languages. This will be really useful for our videos where we have existing translated captions, or have done the interview in language.

The Google “Takeout” site allows you to download your original uploaded source files for YouTube, much better that the “Download MP4” feature available in the YouTube Video Manager, since this only gives you 720p conversions.
YouTube has added a feature where we can check what happens if we use a commercial track in one of our own videos.

Google has released a playbook specifically for YouTube EDU, along with other playbooks for the many of the other content provider categories. Like iTunes U, really pushing for course content.
