MacTubes seems to work at the moment for downloading YouTube clips, including full HD 1080p versions. A bit of a clunky interface, but it works! MacUpdate web site, Developer web site.

Rubik’s cube solving robot – YouTube hit
Swinburne had a YouTube hit with their short clip of a robot which can solve Rubik’s cubes. Over 500k views. Pretty good! Nice combination of geek factor and obviously tapped into what people are searching for.
